My cat gets in fights a lot,she is also meen to other cats in the neighborhood and she hates the indoors,but loves my family,she is about 5 years old and loves to bring mice to the deck and she likes to fight my older indoor cat,is she feral in any way?

Feral is a term used for abandoned cats. Is this cat fixed? if not that is 1 problem that is easily solved, your local shelter will tell you of a low cost spay/neuter program in your area.Some cats are just hunters! A collar with a little bell will warn mice and other cats so she or he will not be able to sneak an attack! Good Luck, Leanna

Your cat is basically living on its own so some of its instincts are playing out. Cats are territorial and she is probably protecting what is hers. Whenever you allow your cat to live outdoors you do risk these behaviors and injury resulting from fights. Definitly make sure she has a collar and bell like the other person suggested.

If you would like to have that stop, get a squirt bottle and fill it with water and vinegar. Then every time you see her being aggressive toward other cats, shout "NO" in the biggest voice you can and soak her with the vinegar solution. After a few times, she'll accept that you are the biggest cat in the household, not her, and your older cat will have some peace.
