Help answer this question below.

In the Sims 2 University, is there any way to make your sims into NPC's so that you can have all your favorite sims in a dorm but you only have to control one sim?

    Yes... Sort of.

    First of all, get all the sims that you want to live there, and move them in.

    After you have been playing for a bit (make sure they have bedrooms and stuff) then click on Ctrl + Shift + C this will bring up a cheat window.

    Type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" (without the "") then rightclick on the sims you DONT want to control.

    A list of testing cheats will come up (this was designed for the makers of the game to test many different things) and click on MAKE UNSELECTABLE. this should make the sim become like an NPC.

    I havnt tried this in my university lot, only my home. but if it all goes wrong, you can right click on the sim and click MAKE SELECTABLE. It will make you the controller again :)

    First,before you do anything,when you enter the neighborhood screen,hold down ctrl+shift+C then type in Boolprop testingcheatsenabled true then press enter.Then create your family.Once you do that,move them into the dorm and have them select their room,you can lock it if desired or decorate it,then once you do that,hold down shift and then click on a sim,then click "make Unselectable",this will make the sim an NPC,if you want to control them again hold down shift again,then "Make Selectable" this will make them a PC again.When you exit the game,and re-enter/re-load the game,they will become PC's again unless you make them an NPC and re-do the steps over again.(This may crash your game unless you make them PC's before exiting your game,when you exit the game and get back on,then you'll need to put the cheat(s) back in again (this is if you only exit the game to go to your desktop).You can make any sim you want to join your family by making them selectable (Wanrning:If you have The Sims 2 Nightlife,do NOT add Mrs.Crumblebottom to your family or it will crash your game,making it unable to be played anymore,this is due to the fact that she is treated as an object,not a sim) and you can add more than 8 sims to your family by using "Make Selectable",though I would not over-do it too much,if you keep adding more and more sims to your family;either some won't show up (they'll be in the family bar,but will stay invisible or they won't be in the family bar at all),it will make your game lag (be really slow),or it could crash your game.So that's how you do it,and I was just giving out some warning tips so you wouldn't over-do the cheat so much that it makes your game crash.
