YEP....when I was a boy,I was given pearl barley for my dinner...I hated it and I called it chinese toenails. I was given porrige with salt for breakfast,it made me puke and I called it scotchmans vomit.

At my school. tapioca was also frogs eyes, and chocolate semolina was "Thames Mud" (the Thames was the nearest river). I once put someone seriously off his dinner by describing his macaroni cheese as "slugs in axle grease",
