If you like techno (think Depech Mode) try "Stiff Kittens" by Blaqk Audio. If you like that, listen to the whole CD "Cex Cells", they're very inovative and the lyrics are just...wow.

I've always said ABBA were Masters of Melody. But I think Gilbert O'Sullivan was pretty good too, and like ABBA, was consistent with strong, uplifting melodies.
