Your ability to "smell blood" is not a sixth sense. Smell is one of the five senses. You probably just have a sensitive sense of smell, plus everyone wants to believe they're special so you've probably convinced yourself that it's more sensational (pun intended) than it is.

Although no-one has yet answered my question about what senses are out there, I have been told there are between 17 and 21 senses that humans can take advantage of.

Deja vu is a sense that it is difficult to explain, and your sense is probably allied to this. Without knowing what the accident is you can tell if there has been blood spilt, and possibly even how much, in rough terms. People often know when there is going to be a thunderstorm because they can 'feel' or 'taste' it. It's the same sense. The more you make use of your sense, for other things apart from blood, hopefully, the better able you will be to use it fr a psitive purpose.

ericcc, good answer, I was just about to say that. Smell is not a sixth sense, silly. It's one of the standard 5. Although it's really not 5, it's quite a bit more than that. At least 10, probably quite a bit more. Sense of balance, for instance. Lean forward slowly and you will know the moment you are overbalanced. That is not touch! It's not sight, or sound, sure as heck isn't smell or taste. Another sense is related to touch as much as taste is related to smell, but not quite the same. Move your fingers slightly and you will know you're moving them without seeing them, and without them touching each other or anything else. When you're thirsty, you think THAT'S touch? Or taste? Nope. Add that to the list. Same with hunger. Hot and cold. That's not touch either. That's 10 just so far.... and I'm just getting warmed up! Ha ha, sorry for the pun.
