Once you start getting an annual flu jab, can you stop or does your immunity come to rely on the vaccinations?

Actually, the reason people get flu shots every year is because every year, the flu virus goes through some DNA rearrangements that make it more virulent (harmful to you). So you have to get a new one every year--last year's won't do it for you this year! Every year is different, so the flu vaccine for this year is going to work on the new strain. So you have to get it :) Sorry--I hate them too.
