There's that whole "Passion of the Christ" ordeal. Then there's the jews perspective of "Borat." I think it's "Boogie Nights" because many people thought of it as soft porn and didn't bother to read the expressions on the actors faces or pay attention to the nuances.

I think it was Dogma. Although i enjoyed it,,,like really reallly liked it...It just covered so much of everything. It pissed like everyone off <3'd it !!!

I think it was the ABC made for TV movie "The Day After". I remember being in school at the time and that's all everyone talked about. My parents wouldn't let me watch it because they thought it would give me nightmares.

ever? It's hard to answer, because the controversy changes from time to time. According to some, it is The Passion of Christ http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,1202224_6,00.html but in my day, many people considered "The Graduate" the most disgusting film ever, because of the seduction of a young man by an older woman. After that, many hated "Jesus Christ Superstar" because of it's disrespectful portrayal of Christ and the use of 'rock' music.

Bad Lieutenant It is a truly disturbing film that goes to places you would not believe.
