Are you a neat freak and is your s/o or roommate a slob or vice versa? Have you found a solution to this and if so what/how?

im the neat freak ...he's the slob and told him that I would bleed him the next time the clothes didnt make into the laundry basket . He's been good about it :)

I never had a solution. Neat freaks think everyone's a slob unless they're also a neat freak. I say these 2 extremes should never live together. It probably makes each one of the person's conditions worse.

I'm not quite a neat freak, I do have a tendency to leave messes, but eventually I pick them up. My hubby on the other hand leaves piles of stuff everywhere- permanently. Drives me crazy because its all papers and bills that he needs to keep and file, but he keeps them out on the tables or by our computer or anywhere that has an open spot to put papers down. We finally compromised and I declared what space he could take and he took near the computer and he said that I could move papers onto there, but I couldn't take them off or rearrange them or try to put them away. Now he not supposed to take up any space except that space. It hasn't worked spectacularly, but we do try to keep ourselves from getting in the others way.
