I have a very big problem with that, just as I do with the idea of my tax money funding abortions in the US. I am "pro-choice" because in the days when it was illegal, so many tragedies occurred. Being illegal did not stop it, and there were some real "back-street butchers". Of course, I have a problem with many other things my taxes go for.

No. It is not the unborn who are causing these problems but the governments who refuse to address injustices in their countries...or natural disasters that just happen. Killing the unborn seems to me like the "cure-all" for modern society in regards to the developing world. But will killing babies stop cyclones or prevent AIDS or grow crops? Abort the cynical, hatefilled leaders of Burma for their hard-heartnedness. Abort the heads of the drug companies who won't let AIDS drugs get to where they are needed because it will cut into their profits. Abort the Muslim leaders of North AFrica who kill and enslave their minorities, forcing people into refugee camps. Abort Mugabe for offences against his own people. And abort anyone who thinks that just because they live in a country that can cope with natural disasters or has leaders who care, or has abundant resources, that the people who are conceived in countries where they do not, have no right to live.

No.

They would rather be used for birth control programs.

No children are seen like a retirement fund with people in third world countries. Their thinking is if I have 9 5 will die so I may have 4 children to look after me in my old age. Education children is a well proven method of stopping the cycle of proverty. Women who are educated have less and healther children.

Lordy, No!! I am pro-choice, but why would I care who gets pregnant in other countries. They DO know how that happens...

This is an interesting topic. I must stay impartial here, but say, if it is considered foreign aid, and the country asks for it, then I suppose it wouldnt be wrong. Only because it was the wishes of said party. And the cause of foreign aid is to help, not judge. If countries only helped the others they approved of, then, that would be wrong, I believe that kind of thing should be indiscrimante. * Best Regards!*

No we need to keep them poor so they do not threaten our supremacy.

No. Foreign aid money is money that would be better spent at home. I find it objectionable that we (the US) assume that we have to be caretaker of the world and give away all this money when it does nothing but have the opposite its intended effect. THe Middle East is an excellent example of this madness, there we have given money to Israel AND the PLO and Arab states that are hostile to Israel. Does anyone else see a problem with giving money to both sides here? Is it any wonder that much of the region (Israel included) are at best frustrated with us and at worst hate us?

No we should be helping these people not killing their children.
