Help answer this question below.

Baseball 11/12 yr olds. Runner on 3rd. After pitch, runner takes lead, after throw back, pitcher walking back to mound head down, runner takes off when the pitcher 6' from the rubber, safe at home, umpire sent him back to 3rd. Umpire cited circle rule?

    No such rule in Official Baseball Rules.

    There might be a local rule that prohibits stealing. Without local rule the umpire was mistaken, the ball is live and the runners are free to steal at will.
