I get iritable and moody, black under eyes and not wanting to socialise....:(
-
I haven't slept more than five hours a day for the past few years. nOt AfFeCtEd In AnY wAy. What was the question? Really, not affected at all.
-
I get stupid, I'll be full of energy one minute and like a zombie the next. I took my GED like that, and some how passed with good scores.
-
Grumpy, dizzy, cold, unable to eat, unable to think clearly, unable to remember things properly, etc., etc. You don't want to be near me when I am sleep deprived, believe me!
-
It will mess you up. I've done it too many times. First you start hearing things. Then you start seeing things out of the corners of your eyes. Then your logic starts failing. I've gone three days without sleep, then slept for about four hours, and was up for another two days. Don't do it. It will alter your judgement.

That's about what I get every night and have for the last few years..I can't seem to sleep more than 4 hours at a time..during the day I may take a brief nap (not on purpose..it just happens). I don't know how I'm affected because I don't remember what it was like to get a good night's sleep (say 7 or 8 hours)! :)

I am currently at this point. Some issues has kept me from resting and I still have a ways to go before I can crush. I already feel like I am surrounded by a cloud and everything seems sluggish.

Sleep deprivation symptoms include irritability, poor concentration, forgetfulness, grogginess, physical symptoms like muscle aches, fuzzy head, slowed rewaction time, moodiness,...not too bad after 3 days...but will worsen over time with continued lack of sleep. Some people habitually chose to have only 4 to 5 hours sleep. They tell you that is all they need. Science shows that this is not true...and that these people are not functioning at full capacity.

I can't perform good sex.My wife would laugh and pushed me away when I dozed of while doing it.
-
I do this often as I am not a very good sleeper and never have been. After the 3rd day Im so tired it gets hard for me to function properly. I manage though somehow.
-
I am basically worthless, the walking dead. In the first couple of days, I am irritable or weepy. By day three, I am apathetic, and just a complete zombie. Sleep is really important to me, I need about seven hours a day to feel like myself. :)

Once when I had strep throat I think I slept for a total of 7 hours over a 3 day period. I became worried that it would take me an unbearably long time to recover from the strep once I had gone for 48 hours without any sleep My constant coughing wasn't letting me sleep and I thought that I needed to actually get a full night's sleep to recover enough from the strep to the point where the coughing would stop. On day 3 almost all of the sore throat and coughing were gone so I got about 7 hours of sleep that night. Apparently just lying in bed, resting with the lights out, taking lots of vitamin C, and my immune system helped me recover from the strep. Realizing that made it much easier for me to deal with strep the next time that I got it.

well, it was 4-5 hours in 2 days, but it probably was on 8 hrs in 2 days this past Saturday and Sunday night. I always have trouble sleeping, but this was worse. I get disoriented, can't think/talk straight, confused, and basically just feel like crap. I finally had to take something to sleep last night. Still tired, but at least I only woke up once instead of almost every hour.
-
I would have lost my mind. 4-5 hours of sleep in one night and I'm cranky and not functioning as my normal self!
-
I actually get kind of loopy when I'm running on that much sleep. It's almost like I'm drunk.
-
if i'm not under any emotional stress it doesn't affect me at all. if something's going on that's difficult for me, i crack as soon as saturday hits. this is how my finals week goes usually. i'm pretty conditioned to it.
-
when i have little sleep i cannot focus in class and i get dizzy, and depressed so you better catch up on sleep
-
When I was young and healthy, I could go to conventions and keep up like that from the excitement and pure pleasure of the party atmosphere. Now, I sometimes has bouts where I can't sleep at night, because of hormone imbalance, but it doesn't seem to harm me. When I'm babysitting my grandson, I don't get to sleep all night, but I sleep whenever he does, so it works out. See picture below.
-
im fine, about 3-4 hours every 2 days is my natural sleep pattern. i only get problems if i get woken up half way through sleeping, for some reason it really messes me up.
-
you will die so don't do it
-
I will be pissed of the whole day and beat the crap out of anybody that messes with me.... dont know why.
-
Well obviously you will be very tired 1. you will feel heavy 2. you will feel very lazy 3. you may hear things such as ringing in your ears 4. you may be on edge 5. you may be irritable 6. you may experience slurred speech 7. you will experience a shorter than normal attention span there are many effects of sleep deprivation. been there done that, and i can say that i will not be doing it again if i have the choice.
-
Um, if I haven't gotten more than 4-5 hours of sleep for the last 3 days, you'd better not look at me funny. There's a strong chance you will not live through the procedure. XD
-
I have trouble concentrating on my schoolwork or I'll mess up orders at work (I work in a fast food restaurant), or I will be sitting somewhere and just daze off. It's horrible but I have a terrible time sleeping. Like tonight.
-
You want to go to sleep but because of school and other things, you can't so you are longing for sleep just hoping you can sleep the next night.
