  • That happened to me, i left mine out for two days and the wound had already begun to heal (bear in mind it had been pierced a year ago) ... i went to put my bar back in but as it had begun to heal i had to basically repierce it though the bottom bit again with the bar. it hurt, was tight for a few days so i just took it out and let it close up completely but i still have the bump on the bottom :(
  • That's scar tissue building up from it closing. It may be too late to put it back if that's what you want.
  • hey if it's a white sort of bump it might be a keloide and it's too late for you to put back in. if you still have your hole don't put it back in it can cause it to get so bug it will burst and trust me it hurts and can cause eternal bleeding so just leave it out and rinse your mouth with warm saltwater.
  • That's probably the scar tissue that you couldn't feel it before because the jewelry was in. The soreness may be from it trying to shrink, or some other irritation. They shrink quickly, so if you're wanting it back in, you may have to use a taper, or let it close and repierce it.
