Why are so many folks (i.e. the Bush Administration in particular) acting so shocked about the revelations in Scott McClellan's book when it apparently confirms what many already suspect? Are they just embarrassed?

They are liars. It's that simple. And as chronic liars, they have devised schemes to deceive that require an 'omerta' or code of silence by the conspirators. As a former member of the inner circle, McClellan is exposing to the light of publicity many things the Bush crime circle planned to keep secret, or which they planned to keep denying to the grave. But they are NOT embarrassed, because in their twisted, criminal way of thinking they are justified when they subvert the Constitution or betray the American people, so why should they be embarrassed? If anything they are annoyed that one of their own has turned on them, not recognizing the old rule of 'honor among thieves'. And this book is but the tip of the iceberg of hidden lies and crimes yet to be exposed . . .
