This will sound strange, but when you go in for your interviews, walk briskly. I used to be a waitress and my boss told me after I'd worked there for a long time that the #1 thing he looked for when doing an interview was that the applicant walked fast, since that will help a lot in the job. Hope that helps, good luck.
Show up at your interviews prepared and positive.
Are you a "people person"?
Good waitresses are.
A good waitress is attentive to detail, a good listener, patient with her customers. She knows the menu. Knows what the specials are. Has tried the food and can make recommendations. She is attentive to her tables and can sense when someone needs something. It sounds demanding, and it is.
Good waitresses generaly make good tips.
Umm well then go get a waitress job. Its not hard to get a waitress job.

if you are a good peple person that will be an easy job to adapt to. Being a waitress will bring you in contact with many different personalities therefore if you are a people person and can handle situations well and deliver things with a smile and not arrogance you will be fine . lots of luck in all you do.
Well, hve you ever watched friends? Just like Rachel, invite your friends round to wherever you're going to work? i.e - cafe, restaurant so you can have a little chat. And always smile. Maybe on your breaks watch the waiters (not pervy like though)Its easy enough! Always SMILE!! You might justlike to try being like a housewife coz they do more or less the same thing! GOOD LUCK!
A good memory and tenative service.

You're reading I really want to become a waitress, but I have no experience. I'm currently working at Tim Horton's, but it's position in town is really inconvient for me. What should I do? What makes a good waitress?
