Help answer this question below.
Yes I have enough food in the house and I never let my car go below half full . I am pretty sure I could if I stayed at home.
I can do it, as long as the fridge is stocked and the car is full of gas.
I do that all the time-have food in the pantry, no place I have to drive..can work 3 out of 4 weeks of the month. But look out for the 4th week--grocery store, mall, movies, etc---but I have an edge over lots of you--i'm retired and don't have to go to work everyday.
I do that quite often
I do it all the time.
Have done that before. Would be hard to now, though. My SUV gets about 16 miles to the gallon, with an 8 gallon gas tank. Work is about a 20 mile round trip.
Yes when I am sick and in the hospital.
Yes...i do it!
Yeah that's easy :) I used to go to all my aunts houses and my friends. I got the food from there. And I didn't had to worry about gas because my ride was my bicycle.
I don't think I can do it.
It's simple. Fill the frigider and start to prepare to a hard exam.
Yes I do. I've done it before. When you have no money to start with then spending it is very easy! lmao! +5
I'm a college student. Broke student=broke student.
In other words, I do it all the time and for longer than one week!
Another retiree here. I fill my car every other month. I spend a lot of time outside working with my horses and love it more than watching tv. As I only get paid once a month, the week I get paid I stock the pantry and pay my bills. Then I have three weeks where I don't have to spend any money. The way my budget works is: during the three weeks I'm not spending, I make lists of what I will need to buy when my check comes in. Bills get paid first, then I get what I need, the last of what I spend is on things I want/need for my critters. Once I hit a certain number of monies paid out, I stop. Each month I'm building up a nice reserve of cash that I can use later to do the things I truly enjoy, number 1 being showing my Arabians at shows across the country in the summer. You can save money if you really want to. Make the needs a priority...housing, electric, phone, internet, heating and pay them first. Wants can wait, so just leave the extra funds in the bank!
I can and I have
I could do it. Plenty of food in freezer and pantry. I'm retired and use about 1 tank of gas a month.
If I planned for it, yes. I think this would be a fun experiment ...
Most people that could or do don't have a computer. I find your question to be insulting. If your answering this question, then you are spending money. Look at your next electric bill. To not spend any money at all one would have to be - umm, HOMELESS
The longest i have gone is when i stayed at my uncles place in the outer hebrides for 6 months. I also didn't speak to or see another person.
It was bliss
true story
I was unhappily married to an evil evil woman. We were married for 3 years. After splitting up and getting back together on and off for three years over her infidelity, she left TN and moved back to Ohio to be with her parents..after a few months of that she had convinced me she had changed and coaxed me into moving to OHio to be with her again, I did so and soon discovered she hadn't changed, so we ended up getting ivorced and only took about $1000 and my clothes and one of the cars. I moved from Ohio back to TN where I was living before. I spent what little money I had getting to TN and paying for a place to live and getting a few necessities (toothpaste, soap etc). I went back to my old job but because my ex wife's family worked there too and had a lot of clout the company falsely accused me of drinking in the company parking lot and let me go. I had been sending the remainder of my cash to my ex in Ohio to pay for the car payment that was due because she had the payment book (one of the many things I forgot to get and she would forget to send to me). So without a job and no money left hardly I got my final paycheck only to discover that they were coming to repo my car because they had not received car payments (my ex had pocketed the money). SO I needed a car to get a job so I had to scrounge up the last of my cash to make the payment.
That left me with 2 weeks to go before I got my final paycheck from the last job and I had absolutely nothing but $18 to live on and no food in the house. I put $10 in gas to get to job interviews and went out and bought a loaf of bread and a pack of bologna (grossss). That's what I lived off of for 2 weeks, one bologna sandwich a day and water.
That's pretty tough.
I know I wouldn't be able to.
Good luck. :)
i do it all the time. no money, no friends, no where to go, one meal a day, it isn't that hard to do!
Not Shop? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO
If I lived with my mommy I could.
2 weeks so far. I ran out of money on the 16th. Lucky for me, the lawn mower had gas in it- so that gave me a couple of gallons for the car. Food wise - I've got a 2 week supply anyway. Now three weeks? That would have hurt!
I could never. Kids would starve.
No, I need to eat to survive!
Naw, I have to have my hoes.
Most answers are on the assumption we can live off stored "fat", not that we don't spend.
We spend extra before that week and after it.
While we can eat our own produce, own our own home, not drive anywhere, not use utilities even make our own clothes. But stuff like taxes, make it almost impossible to really do without spending for even a week.
If you leave out taxes and allow me to buy in front guess I could manage for a lot more than a month.
nope, need gas to go to work, i can stretch every penny though!I could probably make it a week on $20 if i bought groceries ahead of time :)
LOL do it al the time...Retired. LOVE IT!
Yep. its been a long time but i could.
Yes. I've done it before when I was in a countryside vacation.
As long as I was sick in bed and didn't go out. My hubby would probably starve because he wouldn't go to the grocery store.
Yes, I lived 8 months in a van in New Zealad for 3 weeks i lived in a car park with just some packets of pasta and no money it was the best time in my life.
Yeah, I bet I could. I would have to rely on friends a lot though. Or if I was allowed to buy a weeks worth of food the week before I could definetly do it.
Sure. I'd just stay on the computer all day and eat when I get hungry, we have enough cereal to last us half a year.
We do it all the time. On payday, we pay the bills, fill up the car, then buy groceries with whatever is left. Like many people, we live paycheck to paycheck.
I do it all the time. No big deal actually.
Considering I have about a three month supply of food in the garage and I don't have anywhere to drive, yes!
only if i slept the entire week
yes i do it all the time. except i just ordered papa johns lol
No, I don't think so.
i see a challenge for me to pursue
Only if I was stranded on a deserted island...
That's really hard and seems impossible to me at this point.
I've never tried it but I doubt I could go for a whole week without buying SOMETHING.
Nah no way no how.
I could.. but at the end of the week I'd be pretty hungry and probably having a nicotine fit!
i do it all the time if you shop for a couple weeks at a time its cheeper and smarter and keep the gas tank full you all can do it
thanks
