Receiving a citation is the same as a physical arrest. its more of a courtesy, if you qualify for it. it will be on your permanent record in most states and not in others. each state has different laws in this area. call your juvenile court for the correct information in your state.
Citations are not put on permanent record in my state. however in yours they may be. check your state law.
