  • It's irritating and a waste of their time as they are trying to sell cars to make a living and if they are with you instead of a real potential buyer, they could be losing out of a real good sale.
  • Does it matter?
  • Alot of people do that as a hobby. The dealers can afford it, believe me.
  • my husband is a finance manager and has been in the car business for about 10yrs.....and works very hard! he's successful because he is honest and ethical but you would not believe the bs that he has to take on a daily basis from a**holes; think about it......this would be like me coming to your work and harrassing you (oh, and you have to clock out while i'm there) why don't you just wait until you're ready to buy a car~then go......until then, let them help the people that are ready to buy......along with the daily a**holes that they have to deal with; just my opinion~
  • Don't tell them!!! if you do they won't help you at all just tell them your shopping around and answer questions like you have the money in your pocket
  • i would only test drive cars you are seriously interested in. for the others, read some reviews. gas is expensive and the salesman's time is valuable, just don't abuse things. you need not tell them that you haven't the funds or the means. they may drag you into a sales office and try to pressure you, be prepared for that.
  • i think a lot of people do that.buying a car is a big step so you want to test lots of cars.be prepared for the salesman to try to give you the hard sell though.
