The flag was changed in 1993 with the collapse of the Soviet Union and then some minor changes were last made in 2000.

True! Much has changed but so much hasn't:-(
I actually missed the collapse as I was in the mountains on a two week hike in the wilderness. We had to wait until we got back to civilization to hear of it and it was ALL that everybody could talk about. We were so shocked by it.
