Does tapping a cat on its head makes it happy?

My cat likes her head scratched, on the top, but she doesn't like to be tapped anywhere.

Some cats like it and it depends on what kind of tapping. I've done massage, shiatsu and tapping on most of my cats ands they love it. It is very calming. But not just plunk plunk plunk. That's annoying.

My cats prefer having their heads rubbed rather than tapped; especially around the ears.

I scratch the top of my cats head which she loves i have never tried tapping her head...could imagine she would attack at the first tap:-)

i think cats, in general just love to be touched, full stop - and any contact, yep even head tappings gotta be better than none

yes to your question, my cats love it and also thy go all silly rolling on there sides because thy are happy. does that answer your question.
