I was wondering about this! I am recently engaged and I had a lot of girls ask to try on the ring, I guess the shiney attracted them or something... anyway, I felt uncomfortable handing it over to them, but I did anyway because I didnt want to tell them "no" I thought it was weird to be letting them try on something that symbolized the connection between me and my man...

Depends on who it is. I've let one of my really close friends try on mine and I wasn't bothered by it (it's probably the closest she'll come to having one! Aha!) Now if it was a stranger, or random associate, yeah that's be a little weird. In fact, it would be weird if it were any ring, not just a wedding ring.

well, if she asked me and she was a close friend, then yeah I guess (though I wouldn't really be happy about it), but if she just took it and tried it on (even if we were close) I'd be so pissed off.

I don't know if I would think it was rude..but I sure wouldn't be comfotable with someone trying my wedding ring on!

It depends on how it is asked and by who. If she is a friend and admiring the ring - I wouldn't be offended at all and maybe even proud (because I do have one heck of a wedding set!!) Now if a stranger asked, I might think that's kinda wierd and be afraid they would run off with it or "conveniently" get it stuck.
