  • If you are legally separated, in the UK anyway, then you can do what you want. The legal separation is the first step in divorce proceedings and anything that you do, sexually, after the separation document cannot be cited as a reason for divorce. I'm not entirely sure about US law, but I think it would be similar - the legal document of separation draws a line in the sand, metaphorically.
  • Not sure if you are legally separated or not. IF not, any attorney would tell you to keep a low profile, and be discreet IF you are going to date. Things of that nature can be used against you in Court.
  • This is U.S. only. I don't believe there is anything written saying you can't see anyone. Adultery is still on the books in many states as being illegal, though nothing is usually done about it. Sleeping with anyone would be adultury up to the finalization of your divorce by a judge. If you have children or any assets at all, the best thing to do is wait until the divorce is declared final before you even "see" any one formally. Your ex can use anything at all about your actions against you. If you have kids, she can use your behaviour against you even after the divorce is final. Having overnight company while your kids are with you, depending on their age, could cause problems as well. What's the hurry? Slow down. Take care of first things first. I sure don't think I'd want to be involved with a woman who would date a guy that isn't fully divorced. I think it's asking for trouble. But that's just me.
