Si, we do. But mainly only when speaking the second language.(at least for me)

I have spoken to people who know heaaaaaps of languages, and apparently when they want to speak a language, their whole thinking switches to that language so they don't get confused. They dpn't translate words in their head, they literally change the language they think in.

Yes I speak French and English at work all the time. If I speak French I'm fine, if I speak English I'm fine. But when I have to speak both I get really mixed up and start putting both languages together and I get really confused, as do the people I am talking to.

When I'm really angry and speaking in English, French words will accidentally pop up for some reason. But when I'm angry and speaking in French, all the swear words I use are in English, because they sound more offensive and direct then most of the French ones. Otherwise though I don't get confused that much, but I often forget words in either language and have to think of them for a bit, or just say the opposite language one if I can't come up with it.

LOL! Yeah, somtimes. It doesn't happen as often as you would imagine, but it does happen. I might use an English word by mistake while I'm speaking Italian or vice-versa OR I may just suddenly start speaking English to an Italian. That will sometimes happens if I was thinking in English at that moment rather than in Italian.

My cousin was Airforce counter-espionage back in the 70's. He had been given such an intense course in Russian that when he got a chance to write home his letters would go from English into Russian then back to English. He was stationed behind the lines in Russia for a while and was also used to translate intercepted messages.

I speak Russian and English, and sometimes it happens to me.
