Quick, boil some water, cook some kind of pasta. When done, rinse with cold water and pour in a bottle of Italian dressing and add some veggies, onion, olives, cubes of cheese. Done!

Got any rice, preferably basmati? If so try jewelled rice salad. Cook rice until tender then run under cold water to thoroughly cool. Chop red and/or yellow/green pepper and add cooked and chilled peas/sweetcorn niblets to the rice. Mix gently but fully. Takes about 12 minutes. It's scrummy and makes a change from lettuce etc and has many textures making it interesting. Enjoy your picnic.

Green. Go buy a big bag or two of mixed salad at the grocery store. While you're at it, grab a bin of cherry tomatoes and a bag of baby carrots and toss them into your bowl too. Viola, you're done.
