  • You know what we think. Alot of countries and regions around the world still have many equality issues.
  • I can respect the differences in other cultures and if that's what the people of Saudi Arabia are comfortable with, then I am not going to look down on that. However, you will never see me in Saudi Arabia because I could not be comfortable with anyone controlling my future in that way.
  • Evidently, this is an understanding of the role of women that is not that of an enlightened, modern and open society. If the Arab world should want integration into global culture, there are several things they should change, but that is true also of our Western culture. No society is perfect, but with mutual respect, tolerance and an open mind things can develop for the better.
  • I personally would NOT like it. But there IS something to think about: Man people are horrified, intrigued, interested, etc about the treatment of females in countries like Saudi Arabia. Remember though, that in the USA, women had to FIGHT for the right to vote, drive, own property, divorce, custody of their kids after a divorce etc. LOTS of those things that women cant do in Saudi Arabia, once upon a time, women couldn't do in the States either. If it were left for the men of the U.S. gov., women in the States would live VERY MUCH like the Saudi women. So lets not be so quick to judge these "foreign" governments because if it were up to the US government, things wouldn't be much different. I think it IS unfair that females dont have the right to drive in KSA. (When I've asked Saudi men their opinion on it, they look uncomfortable/some said it's for women's protection/some just shy away from it and say it's the government, not the people who feel this way, BUT ALL Saudi male response in my experience, seems uncomfortable talking about it 'cause they seem to see how un-modern a law it is.) I believe Saudi women will get to drive, vote, etc., it's just going to happen in another time frame.
  • Well when the day comes when I take the country over, thier laws will come from me (in London) so the old ones will be outlawed. Yup, one day I will Empress of Eurasia and Africa. And maybe even America.
