I think of myself as a kind, loving, lively person and friends reinforce this. But I seem to be somebody else in my (separated) husband's eyes, he says, 'they don't live with you', as if I put another head on when I'm with him. But I don't! Why is this?

We play different roles with different people. They elicit different thoughts, emotions and patterns of behavior based upon our history (or lack thereof) with them. It's not a conscious decision, and it's not something that's etched in stone should one decide to change. -
