I was homeless, believe me it is not fun. I can`t believe anyone who is homeless is on the street by choice, it is a rough life. I really hope it doesn`t happen to me again.

I live about 700 hundred miles away from all of my family, I'm rather the black sheep lets just say. Thank god to this day I've never been homeless but in my past there was 2 times with my ex husband I almost was. I still am scared to death that my new s/o will not make it and due to the economy I'll have no where to go.

There was a time when I lived in a YWCA shelter....that was a really bad time in my life and I met people just like me wondering, how did we end up here?
-
I think about it all the time and it worries me all the time too.
-
Not really worried, just aware it could happen to anyone!

When I got divorced I left my home, my car, my business, my dogs, the love of my life...I had a job and I stayed with friends but I didn't have a home for about 3 years. I finally bought a home and my mom lives next door. I can barely afford it but where I am today has nothing to do with where I am going. I expect to launch a new business within the next year. I can understand that it is very easy to find yourself homeless...we can do whatever it is we set out to do though, I have a millionaire friend who lost his house and slept in his office while climbing up from the hole of homelessness.
