  • Check on what security has been applied to the router. You may need to reset the router to factory defaults again then try turning on each security feature one at a time. It sounds like you have at least an encryption protocol enabled.
  • It may have found a network, but if the SSID is not correct it will refuse to associate it.
  • Click on the "wireless network connection" in your taskbar, it (looks like a monitor), then click on support, then repair. It will assign a network address, so that you can connect. If that fails, push the reset button in, on the back of your router, for 30 seconds, using a pen, that will reset it to default settings..Good Luck.
