  • I actually believe in what the Bible teaches. There is a scripture that says "it is appointed for man once to die, then the judgement". God created us in his image for his pleasure and doesn't want anyone to perish, but to come to know him. He has given us this life to learn to know Him and and enjoy what he has given us. I don't believe that there is a second time around. It's our responsibility to make the best of what He has given us and come to know him and some day, be with him forever. Good question, though!
  • Actually matter can be broken up into energy they believe.
  • This is a possibility as energy could continue through a transformation of circles like most things, like the seasonal changes of the year . i am open minded and reincarnation makes more sense from a scientific view. As i believe that our soul/energy continues after death (had para normal expereince of this) then there is no reason why this soul/energy canno continue it's cycle and is reborn.
  • To be both a Buddhist and a "believer" is a contradiction in terms. The essence of Buddhism is challenging beliefs, not adopting them.
  • I would say that we have all lived countless past lives. Our traits that come with us into birth are not random or accidental. How can one have an ability to play musical instruments proficiently without any training, and many more talents that come naturally had to be learned in past lives. Also the law of karma or cause and effect,is a law not a punishment from some deity.
  • No past lives don't affect my current life. Sure matter is not created or destroyed but that doesn't mean that memories and personality stay with that matter. Matter changes. It may be part of a human body and then a thousand years later be a part of another human body but that doesn't mean all parts will be the same. The same pieces don't necessarily fit back together in the same way. The matter that makes up your brain could eventually be the matter in another humans kneecap.   So just because you agree that the first law of thermodynamics is true doesn't mean that believing in reincarnation is more scientific.
  • Buddhism doesn't teach reincarnation btw.
