  • Why would you believe in a religion if you didn't think it was the right one? If there could be multiple answers to the eternal questions, why should you believe in just your religion? It's not special and more importantly, not the best way if other ways are equal.
  • There is only one true religion, the others were made up by FALSE prophets. Jesus said there will be others after me, and they will lead many astray.
  • Jesus is Lord, and Christianity is religion. I believe other religions were created by evil and the devil, to try to stop unity and harmony.
  • Its about the condition of the heart and one's attitude toward his brother and sister. Its about Love for strangers and one's own family and neighbor. Its about recognizing that a higher power is the cause of life and creativity. It isnt about religion. There is no one religion. Its a false idea. How can there possibly be harmony in the world today? Many religions demonstrate Love for strangers and recognition of a higher power for the cause of life.
  • No one religion has the monopoly on the truth. I forget who said this, but It's very true.
  • The fact that all religions contradict each other show that they can't all be right. Jesus can't be the Son of God, as Christian believe, and not be the Son of God (as all other religions believe at the same time. Either He is or He isn't. Vishnu can't be both a god and not a god at the same time. The precepts laid out by these various religions concerning what happens to us after death can't all be true because they contradict each other. It is only possible for one religion to have all of the correct precepts and doctrines. It is possible that none do, but it is also only possible for one to be completely true. Where other religions deviate from that one religion, they are in error. So, if there can be only one true religion, then why do we have so many? I will answer this from the perspective of my own religion. It is because Satan is actively trying to draw us away from God. God gave us the freedom to choose which path we will take in life. Satan uses this freedom to lure people into doing things that are wrong. Because of this, people tend to not want to follow the true religion of God and start to create religions of their own that better suit what they want. In many, if not most, of these cases, I believe that the people have good intentions, I believe that they truly believe that they are following God's will even when they aren't. They have just been deceived. However, in other cases, the people who introduce these false doctrines and start up false religions do so knowing full well that they are not serving God in doing so. However, these people do not care that they are leading followers astray. They only care about themselves and whatever selfish reasons they have for their actions. So, this is why there are so many different religions. Some people are misled into believing false doctrines. Other people intentionally create false religions for their own selfish reasons.
  • I have a faith, and it is what is right for me. I think that religions are made up by people.
  • Well, not being an expert but having an opinion, I believe that most all the religions have large elements of truth in them but it’s really the leaders..ie priest, mullahs ect...that mislead the people. I feel that if you investigate the writings of the major prophets you will see for yourself that they have far more in common than they are different. They all teach aspects of the golden rule, they all teach tolerance and love between one another, they all teach truth and honesty, but it’s the leaders of these religions that teach division. Christ taught only one word….why are there hundreds of sects calling themselves the one truth. Mohammad spoke one truth, why so many different sects of Islam and do you really think that either one would be less than mortified at what these leaders have done to their word? Krishna, Buddha, Moses and Zoroaster all left unspeakably wonderful writings and words of truth as well as civilizations that have advanced the world forward. I think if you investigate the writings for yourself you will see this to be true. People who cheer on their church or temple or mosque as if it’s a high school football team, rarely have read their own teachers words and those who have, have rarely read the others except through remarkably jaundice eye. I encourage you to keep searching. Its what I believe we are here to do.
  • Yes, for Christianity is the newest form of the oldest religion, which is based on a relationship with Jehovah. All religions stem from this one, for the Greeks perverted the Bible and took liberty with it, and created mythology, for Zeus is not a perfect picture of God the Father, but a stereotypical version, as well as Hercules is a perversion of Christ, for Christ was 100% man and 100% God, not merely a demi god sent to earth to reclaim his deity. Egyptian heiroglyphics depict a story with their gods about two gods fighting over a goddess, much like a perversion of the story of cain and abel, for many believed that cain and abel fought over a sister of theirs, and that cain killed abel to take said sister. Also, the Noahic Flood, deluge, is depicted many times througout history and in religions, for the Bible's account is true, and many allude to it. In Norse mythology, Ragnarok is merely a perversion of Biblical eschatology, which is the doctrine of last things, including tribulation and all that follows.
  • As you know, the Bible is a book that at one time was widely respected. In these days, unfortunately, fewer and fewer people read it. Yet when we are discussing religion, we cannot do so in a satisfying way if we fail to refer to the Bible, because, religiously speaking, it has had more effect on mankind than any other book. Also, apart from anything else, the Bible’s explanation of how religion started carries weight because it was recorded by men who lived at a time much closer to the actual events than we do. Let us consider what the Bible says and compare our findings with some of the theories of modern scholars. The Bible tells us that man originally believed in only one God. This was not his own idea. According to the record, God revealed himself to man at the very beginning as the great Source of life. He offered help and guidance, so that man could make his way successfully in life. (Genesis 1:26–2:25) Hence, everything started with just one religion. How, then, did today’s confused situation come about? According to the Bible, this stemmed from a rebellion against that one original Source. In a document that is more than 3,000 years old, a man named Nimrod is identified as initiating this rebellion. Nimrod became a city builder, constructing cities in the ancient region known as Mesopotamia. Today that area is a part of Iraq. Some of the cities that he built were named Babel, Erech, Accad and Calneh.—Genesis 10:10-12. The people said: “Come on! Let us build ourselves a city and also a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a celebrated name for ourselves, for fear we may be scattered over all the surface of the earth.” (Genesis 11:4) However, because of divine intervention they failed in their purpose and gradually dispersed to different parts of the earth. In doing so, they carried their rebellious religious ideas with them.
  • I believe that one religion is the fullest exemplar of the Church of Christ. Almost all religions are humans sincerely reaching out for God. In Judaism and Christianity, God has reached out to humans and human have responded. I believe that humans have responded to God in the fullest sense in Catholicism. With love in Christ.
  • NOtrue religion, but one God.Maybe God was trying to talk to people when they were all over the world devived by differences like langueses etc. and so thats why there are so many different religions. But why are so many religious people so closed minded, unless it`s because they aren`t really as sure as they want us to believe. And why so judgemental when God is supposed to be the judge?
  • I belive (100%) that there is only one true religion and So Do All our relegion people that because the relegion of all prophets was one relegion..the messege of all prophets from Noah is to worship god (the one) and don't set up any partners with him. most other relegions are invented by People espicially the relegion which doesn't make any kind of sense. others was a true relegion (worship god the one) but people has changed it
