I'm vehemently against smoking marajuana. I tell all my 20something friends that they shouldn't do it and that it is stupid. I found a pipe in one of my parents drawers, what should I do?

Consider who all lives there, and if it is possible that it is your parents, and no one else's, tell them about it and how you feel.

why are you so against it? simply because it's illegal? the majority of drug users are casual smokers, just like the majority of alcohol users are casual drinkers. there's no harm in smoking from time to time, except the risk of getting caught by the law...

You may be against it, but you should recognize that other people deserve the right to enjoy it. I hate vanilla ice cream with a passion, but I don't go around trashing it. You should lay off your friends and lay off your parents. What you choose to do or not to do is your own business. What your friends choose to do is theirs. While it's fair to tell them you disappove, telling them they shouldn't do it and that it's stupid is offensive and out of line.

What should you do? Get truly educated on marijuana. Then you will see that it's not this horrid DRUG, that it's just literally an herb that some time ago, we discovered makes our head feel funny. Let it go. Your parent's deserve to smoke once in a while.

... if it is just the smoking part that you are against, try leaving lots of "brownie" recipes and deep breathing exercise instructions lying around ... ... if it the consumption of the pot (in any method) that you are against, try leaving a lot of "please quit pot" notes lying around. ... if it is the law breaking that you are against, try organizing a petition to have the laws changed ... or call the cops and turn your parents (and your friends) in. __________ Personally, I am only against the inhaling of smoke, and I "bake" & eat 2 or 3 times per year.

If your parents are not showing any signs of strange behavior I would leave it alone. BTW you can't blame people for thinking that it was in their bedroom drawer. Usually when you say I found it in his drawer it is a personal one not a general supply drawer.

You should mind your own business, and chastise yourself for snooping. Your parents are adults, and can be responsible for their own actions. It's not your place to tell them what to do, especially when it's something as relatively harmless as smoking pot.

First, you shouldn't be snooping around in your parents' drawers. Second, it's their home - you are a guest, so don't even think of calling the cops. Third, decide if you think this is worth bringing in the open for discussion, as you'll have to admit you were snooping around. Fourth, are you sure the pipe isn't just a relic? A reminder of times they shared before you were even a thought, let alone a conception.

If you have, you have every right to your opinon, but why are you so worried about what other people do? If you haven't tried it, how do you know so much about it? 3.
