Do you use more petrol going (in 5th gear), 60km/hr or 100km/hr?

    IN general the faster you go the more gas you use mostly because of drag.

    In a specific vehivle, it is just possible the engine is not revving hard enough at 60 KPH in 5th gear to run efficiently and that might give adiffeent answer.

    100, and the increase is bigger for a larger vehicle. I have an f-350 pu going at 80mph it will get 12mpg ant 65 mph it will get 19 or 20mpg. over x speed 50% of the power used is to maintain said speed.
