I have been on there for years, and think it's brilliant. But don't bother unless you are (a) creative enough to enjoy a world (not a game) where there are no set goals to attain and (b) have a good enough system to run the game so it looks good and runs well. Many of the people who criticise second life have systems not capable of running it smoothly, and then complain because it doesn't run smoothly!

It is a very creative world and nice to see in this day and age. I hope it continues on through the years. I like to enter the world and stop by to listen to talks from real world people at universities or just fly around and see what people are offering.
