  • It was hurried over the last season. They tried to close off the story lines too fast. But the way that it ended for Dany, Jon, Bran, Tyrion, Sansa..... that was expected.

I didn't see it, and only researched what Dany did that people said she turned evil. But I agree on that one. Realistically, I'm surprised she was ever able to access the good within her considering her genes and early childhood development. I wonder if he'll ever finish the book...

What was your favorite part of the whole series?
    • Archie Bunker
I enjoyed the character development, which is why the hurried ending was so disappointing. You see the characters in the beginning and then you come to understand why they are the way they are and how they got there. As the seasons progressed, you see the changes in some of them. Not necessarily their underlying motivations, but how they acted. The Hound was my favorite character. How you see his change over the seasons, which is why his death was so disappointing.
  • i didnt watch it
    • Wakko
Damn, Pearl beat me to it. :P
  • It wasn't as bad as people said, but it still wasn't a great ending. Not awful writing, but not very good writing.

The writing was actually better than HBO smut turned it into. Did you read the books? He didn't even actually write the ending, because he didn't get it done fast enough. They just made the ending off his outline. I read the books online for free. Posted the links in a question here, but I don't know if they are still active, or where the question is. Oh look at that! Its in the bread trail questions! I need to find another good book, I'm spending too much time here.

I thought the first book was pretty great, but for me, the quality of the books went downhill. The show, for me, actually started off even stronger than the books with season one, but then things started getting changed for no apparent reason... I don't think the author of the books will even finish the last book at this rate. The next book will probably come soon, but then there is supposed to be another after that, and I can see it taking 15 years for him to finish it. By 2035, the series won't have as much popular appeal, and Martin will be geriatric by then.
