  • No more trees. Over logging.
  • I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Think of all the things paper, in some form, is used for. And, what will the little kids learn to write and color on before they learn to type and use computers. They have to start somewhere! And what will we wrap our Christmas and Birthday gifts with, saran wrap? And who doesn't love getting a written letter or card better than an e-mail on those "special occasions"? And all the great books are not and cannot be put on the internet. What do you do if your net is down or your pc is shot? Thank God, I still have my library!

  • I do not believe it will ever happen completely as people fill the need to always write something free handed.
  • I don't think that can ever happen. By law we are required to keep "full and complete files for five years". That includes notes, correspondence, policy documentation, etc. So, unless the laws relating to our business are changed, it's just not possible to be paperless.
  • We will never be a paperless society. The rarity and value of our history on paper is too much to just throw away. That and 99% of our accumulative knowledge is still on paper.
  • I think that was just overly ambitious foresight.
