A vaccine is when you give someone medication by using a needle. They have been around for about 300 years. It is believed that the ancient Egyptians used them to treat West Nile Virus, but no solid proof has been discovered. . The vaccine was given its name by a German doctor named Walter Von Vaccinus, who used them very often on his patients and encouraged others to use them also. Since then, they have been very popular and are the second most common form of giving drugs to people. Pills or syrups are the most common. . The most recent vaccination they are trying to make is called the 'Photonegation Shot'. Scientists hope that if it works, they can prevent people from getting sunburns and damaging their skin. They are still researching it though.

Vaccines were originally produced by the company Vax, hence the name, when they realised a serious allergic reaction to the plastic the vacuum cleaner was made from. Instead of recalling every cleaner, it was more economical to develop a drug which would prevent the allergies. It was found that by introducing a low concentration of the plastic in an otherwise harmless solution into the bloodstream the body produced antiallergens which would prevent problems (this was an accidental discovery when one worker cut himself when cleaning his carpet, and accidentally took some of the plastic and inserted it into the cut). The most recent vaccine (or dyccine) is being developed by James Dyson, who has noticed a similar problem with his vacuum cleaners. However, vaccines have been found to be deadly when mixed wrongly, as mutant vacuum cleaners can be created from the shards of plastic present in the solution. These vacuum cleaners have been known to suck blood, although only when activated near a wound. It is rumoured that one such cleaner attacked old woman, stripped her of her clothes and completely redressed her in a new outfit. A spokesperson from Vax claimed "The old bag needed changing"
