It was 4:30a, still dark, and I drove through some spilled diesel fuel, in the middle of a corner, with my motorcycle. The bike went down instantly, completely removing the ignition breaker system and leaving no way to start the bike. As I was moving the bike to the side of the road, a man, driving a pickup, stopped and asked me if he could be of help. I told him what had happened and that there was no way to start the bike. He said, "Where were you going?". I told him, "I was going home". He replied, "Well, I can take you". I said, "It's 47 miles to house". He said, "No problem. I just got off work and wasn't going anywhere special." He took me home and would not take the money that I offered him for gas. (He lived a two blocks from where I crashed!) This happened in the Los Angeles area, known for road rage!
