  • Meh, religion can kind of be a touchy subject.
  • like copy and paste or somethin http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2928851
  • Idk .. but I gave 2 points back :)
  • Honestly, and with all due respect, I would agree with singwell-is back but taking it easy. Oh, and I wouldn't think he was yelling at you, just trying to inform and help you. Shouldn't take it personally.
  • Well, you can answer anything however you like...
  • You're wrong. Quit being a dink. You're messing with the wrong person if you're calling out Singwell. She happens to be one of the more well respected baggers out there. She is right to say the purpose of the site is to answer questions. It's alright to be funny every now and then and try to be clever. That's cool, but answering "how should i know" is not the purpose of the site and you will upset people and give yourself a bad reputation on the site. You've been here two weeks, sit back and watch for a while so you know how things work. Also, calling out other's answers or other users in questions is not acceptable behavior.
  • Well, considering that you didn't answer the question and left it opened for that answer to be flagged as nonsense, an easy 5pts for anyone, this question is also I believe a violation of the rules. I am pretty sure you aren't allowed to call out another user. besides, it's not too smart to call out a well known user who has been here for a while when you are quite new. Just a few pointers for you. But to answer your question, no, Singwell is not wound up tight, you are.
  • Her comment was a little much, but there is one thing to think about. I read this in a comment thread as part of a "I don't know" answer.. When you answer that way your non helpful answer remove the question from the unanswered question list. This can make it less likly the question will get a serious answer. I remember this comment because I have been known to give quick, funny answers to questions and may have done this to other people without thinking. I don't think you did any harm, but some might see it different IMHO.
  • Here is what the "about us" has to say about it: "Answerbag brings trust to information on the web. Every bit of info on this site can be voted on, so trustworthy answers are promoted and the chaff is weeded out. People just like you tell if they think an answer was useful, and if most people agree, you'll see that answer is "trusted." This lets you know that it isn't just some loony like my Uncle Herb giving you his answer - it's a group of people who have come together to agree on an answer." For more see: http://www.answerbag.com/about/ To me, this means useful answers are expected, and "How should I know" does not meet that expectation. But that's just my opinion. Edit: More an more people are complaining about voting against an answer, so these guidelines are no longer valid, or useful. The voting goes "positroll everybody, since points don't mean anything" "Only trolls Downrate answer" and so on.
  • No, she is not too tightly wound. The purpose of this site is for people to answer other peoples questions. If you had bothered to go to singwell's profile and check out some of her answers you would have realized she has answered questions here with quite a bit of wisdom. YARNLADY is right. You should check out the rules before you attack someone. And in response to a comment you made to Simply99, you don't sound like you are "butt hurt", you sound like you are looking for a fight.
