Acts of God are unpreventable.

If the pressure from the Burma Cyclone wasn't released when it was, it would have grown and added it's strength to other storms forming in the region creating a supercell that would have slaughtered millions. Same goes for the earthquake, if that little rumbler didn't happen when it did, half of China might have gone under the tectonic plates in a much larger catastrophe resulting from too much continental kinetic buildup. Actually I have no idea

There are many scientific explanations for the causes of natural phenomena and disasters. It has been suspected that God plays a part, an act of wrath with hindsight inexplicably and unduly vengeful given the actor crime initiating it. Power of the spirit a groundswell of pain or lamentation has the power to cause such upheaval, no pun intended, in the ground and atmosphere. God denies any intervention, in all probability it was the cruel and thoughtless act of satan. It is nevertheless tragic that so many innocents lost their lives but in China will recover speedily from this calamity and be greater in power than it was prior to tragedy.

God isnt real, duh. Its a bad word that represents the devine. Why cant we say the names of the devine? Why do we have to use a skimpy weak three letter word that is generic and meaningless?

Cyclones, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc are all part of Deity, just as everything else is part of Deity. Deity is everything, the constructive, the destructive, both love and hate. All are necessary for the turning of the wheel...the cycles that keep the universe going.
