What's the difference between malt liquor and beer?

Malt Liquor has a higher alcohol level then beer.

Yeah, see the only true beer is Budweiser and Miller (aka barley flavored carbonated water that is sure to give you a headache the next day!) I think it does vary state by state. As far as I was concerned, malt liquor is the horrible, nasty stuff that comes in a 40. It's funny that is says Americans brew bad malt liquor. But I suppose it makes sense, I mean, they made Colt 45!
