Why don't airlines offer monthly installment plans for airline tickets?

Cause they are in the transportation business, not the finance business. The credit card companies already have the installment plans available, and the airlines accept all major credit cards.

That little extra would raise prices, better left to cards already in use!!!!!!:):)

That is one area that may show up later but for now they have more pressing issues and installment plans can best be handled by banks and credit card companies.

They would have to completely "Gear Up" for this. They do not have staff with the expertise or experience nor do they have the staff to do it. Then, they would be in competition with all the credit card companies and other means of financing. I see this idea as a 'no win' for the airlines.
