They're probably just really fragile right now, but they still shouldn't be hurting that much. If they are changing in appearance, then you should get them checked out by a doctor. Don't try to put anything on them, just leave them to heal.

How long did you have the artificial nails on? If you've worn them nonstop for years and years, your nails are going to be sensitive for sure! Also, if the salon pried the acrylics off instead of soaking them off, your nail bed was probably damaged. Let them heal and make sure you give your hands some TLC before bed. Massage triple anti-biotic ointment into your cuticle and nail bed then apply a hand cream. The massage will help bring blood flow to the nail to aid healing. If your nails don't stop hurting or the appearance doesn't improve in a month, go see your doctor.
