I'm 13 and I don't know how to dance, casual or formal or whatever. When I ask people how, they just tell me to move to the music. I find this incredibly unhelpful. I do want to learn to dance. I dont have money for lessons either. Any advice?

well i find it much easier to dance w/ friends and family like at a wedding reception i just do what evry one else is doing kinda and have a good time

Where I live, in Seattle, there are older dancers that meet weekly in a local community center. I saw them once there, and they were so excited that a whipper snapper like me was interested, (I am 42) that they told me to come any week to learn ballroom dancing from them. Imagine how excited they would be if YOU walked in...if they think IIIiii am a whipper snapper. Moral of the story, if you want to learn formal dancing, see if there are any clubs in your community, hang out, moon and they might toss you a dancer partner (even if she is...admittedly...more...is there a nice word for MUCH OLDER?)
