  • A beautiful little larch tree. I planted the one below with my little daughters two years ago, when it was only about 3 feet tall. It is now well over 10 feet tall and its color changes dramatically with the seasons, delighting my little girls every spring and fall. The pic below of me and the tree was taken on a chilly evening last October at about 7 p.m., when the tree was a lovely golden yellow for many weeks.   • How about Brandywine tomatoes, squash and asparagus? Or if you referring to flowers; hyacinths smell so good and pansies stay vivid and colorful for a long time.
  • Hops and barley. After harvest, I'll bring the yeast, and we can make delicious beer.
