Eventually, I may fail a few times before I get it done though :)

Yes. I am responsible and dependable.

Nine times out of ten, yes. I lag on tedious, everyday things that mostly affect only me. If I make a promise to someone else, though, I keep my word.
-
Yes, with 100% of me. But I sometimes forget to call back. That's it.

Not if I say to myself, "Babycakes just one more hour on AB then off you go and get that laundry done". I never keep my word to myself but I will with others.

Damn right I do....I am only as good as my word
-
Most definitely!

Yes, I do. That's ONE reason I seldom make promises I don't know whether I can keep or not. I knew someone who ALWAYS promised to do things, then when the time came for it to be or have been done, they always had an excuse - I am (or was) too tired... I don't know how... I didn't KNOW it was today (even though it was known well in advance)... I can't - I have to do (something else)... etc. This person did it with their children all the time. I NEVER did that with my kids... I ALWAYS said, we'll see (and sometimes we didn't, but sometimes we did)... or I'll try (and I WOULD try)... A flat-out promise to do something was something I knew I could and would do, ONLY. Is that kinda "cheating"? Yeah... Maybe... A little... But I was never going to promise them something I could not deliver. I do the same when working... I will do my best... Not I promise - Then I DO do my best. If it's not good enough, then I didn't PROMISE I could, but I got as close as I could in the time alloted. Make sense?

If it is within my control,I haven't overestimated my ability to accomplish it and nothing arises that would change my mind between the time I said I'm going to do it and actually doing it, then yes! :)
