They sound like Junco's. They are a smaller sparrow, that have white bellies and a white beak. They are ground feeders eating mostly seeds and insects. They usually nest on a well hiden nest on the ground, or low in a tree or shrub. You will see them often, in little groups, feeding on the sides of roads.

Might be a type of Swallow. Are they making the nest in the birdhouse with mud?
