i think that's a bit of an exaggeration. First, Catholicism is a branch of Christianity (Christianity being a religion that follows Jesus Christ as its saviour and the son of God), and having faith in something does not mean you are stupid. "Stupid" refers to lacking intelligence, which, from the look of your question, is something you may want to consider help for. Believing in creationism, or thinking "God will make it alright and i just have to wait for it to happen" is not stupid, it is nieve. I would strongly suggest that before you go making half-cocked accusations you get your facts in order first, then you may stand a chance in the conversation.

Well, we, Catholics, the whole billion of us, are so stupid so other people can feel superior and smart. It also allows them to ask extremely intelligent questions such as yours.
