I do not personally know anyone, but in the area where I live, families are moving out in every block, and several houses in some blocks. It's really bad when I'm walking the dog, and see empty house after house, and the "bank owned" signs springing up on them.

I know no one - and I read recently that a great deal of the homes being foreclosed upon are empty - people take on a second or third mortgage to "flip" a house to resell, then can't make the payments. Another thought: not trying to be mean, but no one grabbed people by the collar and forced them to take on loans. Maybe it's nobody's fault, we should just be more careful about debt.
