Did the phrase, "Curiosity killed the cat" come from the situation where adam and eve were curious, and death came from their lack of discipline?

Adam was not involved in the episode you refer to, and death was not the penalty for the lack of servitude.

Adam and eve in a sense created sin. Now that sin exists it is possible for it to be destroyed. Once sin is destroyed it will be possible for a perfect or truly perfect world or "heaven" to exist. Jesus christ destroyed sin or conquered it. Thus sin had to be created for it to be destroyed. Making it possible for heaven to exist.

apparently curiosity killed the cat came from a playwrite in the 1500's and was used again by shakespeare, refering to curiosity however, as "worry" :) i think its simply because cats have a naturally inquizitive nature
