  • forgive me for sounding dum, but who is Alex Jones?
  • You admit in your comment on answer 1 that you don't even know what Alex Jones talks about. You haven't even listened to him, much less researched his claims. Do you think you can just choose what's true and what's not on your own emotional impulses? Do you think you can just choose your own reality? You should be proud of your family member for facing painful things. That takes character. Stop being a coward and open your mind.
  • You need PROZAC. Start with 40mg dose and stay away from television to alleviate the corrosion in your brains. My 2 cents.
  • Ok... I don't know much about Alex Jones, so I did a search. He apparently has written a number of books, has his own radio show (a la Rush Limbaugh), has produced a number of movies "exposing government conspiracies" (a la Michael Moore), and has a few websites where he spouts his "truth". Also, apparently, others in the "truth community" have problems with many of his tactics, and what he says: NNDB (The Notable Names Database) says he's wrong - http://www.nndb.com/people/969/000048825/ WingTV says he altered (read censored) articles - http://www.wingtv.net/thorn2006/censorship.html Christian Media Research says he betrayed trust and lied in Waco (another family under seige - http://www.christianmediaresearch.com/jones.html SpirituallySmart.com claim he works for the CIA - http://www.spirituallysmart.com/Jones-CIA.htm Are among the first links and articles I found. Of course, most of THESE sites are about or believe in conspiracy theories, too. Couldn't they all just get together and present a united front on these theories? I mean, if they COULD, they might not appear as ... OFF ... as they all do, now to the vast majority of Americans, who they almost ALL say are brainwashed by the government. Well, personally, I don't believe I'm brainwashed (but of course, I will be told that's because I prefer to keep my head up my ass, and NOT listen to the TRUTH). I believe, based on my own interpretations, that most conspiracy theorists are WAY off the mark (amazing, to me, what they can believe without PROOF of almost any kind). All that said, I am not up for, nor do I expect an argument here. I'm just reporting what I found. I hope that you CAN find some help for yourself, and your family member, if that's what is needed, and what you want. From your other posts here, I'm sorry that you've run into this situation and the pro-Jones movement, here. Good luck!
