I think the only way anything can be done is if there was proof of who caused the damage. The threat is hearsay.

formal charges are not often made to juvenilles but you can still be held responsible in small claims court as the need for proof is not as ridgid. First thing is to ask your child outright. Chances are that they have committed this act. As a parent go with your instinct AND make proper retribution. It is the neighbourly thing to do. If money is a problem see if junior can work it off or some other arrangement can be made. If it has happened to you, try and speak calmly to the other parents and look at it as a disciplinary issue. Kids will be kids, but parents must still parent. Good luck!

They can be questioned, by the authorities, but, unless you have physical proof, you dont have a case.

I live in the states, but I have learned that if a threat is made you report it to the police or whomever, they can patrol the area and in some cases they will suggest you put out motion lights or even motion cameras. We had an issue similar to this and we had motion cameras that we use to get wildlife pics, so after the threats were made we called the police to let them be aware of the situation and then put out the camera. Needless to say this works pretty darn well. If you have no proof and just here say then you are screwed. I would do something to protect your family and belongings. Good luck!
